The Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested a woman drug trader with 500gm heroin from Mirpur thana area in the city Saturday night.
The arrestee was identified as Shilpi Begum.
A team of DB police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the drug trader and recovered the heroin from her procession, a DMP press release said.
Officer-in-charge of Mirpur Model Police Station confirmed the matter.
In preliminary interrogation, the arrestee confessed that she had been trading heroin for long in the city.
