A gang of miscreants have reportedly raped tribal girl after abducting her in Kumira area under Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong. Police, quoting the victim’s husband, said 7 seven men gang-raped the 19-year-old Tripura girl after abduction on Friday. Chittagong’s Assistant Superintendant of Police (ASP) Saiful Islam, quoting her husband, employee of a steel mill, said 7 men barged into their residence around 1am on Friday, caught the husband of the young girl and beat him up. The miscreants then dragged her away. Police said she was taken to a hill behind a jute mill in Kumira andf gang-raped. Police rescued her after hearing about it. The victim has been taken to the One Stop Crisis Centre (OSCC) at the Chittagong Medical College Hospital, the assistant superintendant of police (ASP) said. Her husband filed a case with Sitakunda Police Station, said OC Iftekhar Hasan of the police station, according to a news agency.
