An auto-rickshaw driver was killed as a bus ran over it in Nekroj Bazar area of Keraniganj upazila of Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Mosharof Hossain, 45, son of Alam Bepari, a resident of Nababganj upazila of the district and an auto-rickshaw driver. Mohammad Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Keraniganj Model Police Station, said the accident took place on the road adjacent to Diamond Melamine Industry in the area in the afternoon when a Mallick Paribahan bus hit the auto-rickshaw, leaving Mosharof critically injured. Later he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Police seized the bus but its driver managed to flee away, according to a news agency.
