Police in a drive arrested three fake members of the Detective Branch (DB) of police from Shrikol Bazar area of Sreepur upazila of Magura district on Sunday afternoon. The arrestees were identified as Milon Sheikh, 32, Touhidur Rahman Shitol, 28, and Tuhin Hossain, 28, all hailing from Shailakupa upazila in Jhenidah district. Officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station Moniruzzaman said trio was took extortion money from the traders of Shrikol Bazar of Bazar posing as DB members. The local traders caught them on Sunday afternoon as they came to collect extortion money and gave them a beating. On information, police rushed to the spot and arrested them, according to a news agency.
