Two lovers have allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves with a single scarf from a tree at Bhumurdia village in Narail Sadar upazila. One of the deceased was identified as Imran, 25, son of Harun Sheikh of the village. Locals spotted the bodies of the two hanging from the tree near a beel (water body) at the village on Friday afternoon. Being informed, police recovered the hanging bodies and sent those to Narail Sadar Hospital for autopsy. When contacted, Sheikh Matiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, confirmed the incident. Police suspected that the young man and the young woman took their lives over love affairs, according to a news agency.
