Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel sent back two Bangladeshi young men through Lauergarh border in Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj district on Wednesday night. They are Haque Miah, 17, son of Satu Miah, a resident of Lauergarh village, and Ali Hossain, 16, son of Abul Hossain, a resident of Shantipur village of the upazila. Sunamganj Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion-8 commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Golam Mahiuddin Khandaker said BSF members had arrested the duo from a char (shoal) near the Jadukata river in the area while they were crossing the border into India to collect coal early in the morning on Wednesday. Later, BSF members handed over the duo to BGB on Wednesday night. BGB members also handed over them to Tahirpur Police Station and filed a case against them for crossing the border illegally, according to a news agency.
