A total of 103 Bangladesh human trafficking victims, rescued by Myanmar authorities from the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea in May this year, returned home from Myanmar following a flag meeting along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border. With this planned repatriation, all 729 verified, so far, as Bangladesh nationals, are returning to Bangladesh, a press release, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in Dhaka on Monday.
Earlier, on five occasions, a total of 626 verified Bangladesh nationals were safely repatriated from Myanmar. The repatriation process commenced on Monday morning via Ghundum border point in Naikhyongchhari upazila of Bandarban district, according to a news agency.
