PM concerned over Israeli atrocities on Palestinians

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday expressed grave concern over recent Israeli atrocities on Palestinians and called for bringing the perpetrators involved in these heinous crimes to justice. In a condolence message sent to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Sheikh Hasina said: "I am deeply saddened and concerned about the recent atrocities perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces during the last few days which claimed lives of several Palestinian civilians, including shooting to death of 7 Palestinians on October 9, 2015, and two Palestinian innocent minors on October 10, 2015, and left many others injured." Sheikh Hasina also reiterated Bangladesh's unequivocal commitment to realising the inalienable rights of the brotherly people of Palestine for independent homeland and a sovereign and viable State of Palestine. "May Almighty Allah give the Government and the brotherly people of Palestine the strength to achieve the goal of an independent homeland," she said. Expressing deep condolences and sympathies to the victims as well as to the Palestinian brothers, the PM said: "We pray for early recovery of the injured ones ... we unequivocally denounce such acts of terror and violence and call for bringing the perpetrators involved in these heinous crimes to justice," according to a news agency.
