Three Bangladeshis die in UAE road crash

Three Bangladesh nationals were killed and two others injured in a road accident in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday. A Bangladesh embassy official confirmed the incident late night. The accident took place on Wednesday morning in the Al Khazna area of the city of Al Ain, said Md Arman Ullah Chowdhury, the Counsellor (Labour) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Farhad, Mohammad Elias and Akter Hossain. The former duo hailed from Rauzan Upazila in Chittagong district and the latter from Hathazari Upazila of the same district. Two of them died on the spot and another on way to a local hospital, said the official. The injured are ‘Belal’ and ‘Saiful’. The vehicle carrying the Bangladeshi workers crashed into a roadside structure in Al Khajna around 7am local time after its driver lost control over the steering, said the official. Injured are Belal and Saiful and are being given treatment at Al Ain Hospial. The embassy officials have already talked to the families of the victims in Bangladesh and the bodies would be sent back home after necessary formalities, report agencies.
