Chittagong Police in a raid on Monday arrested a drug peddler with 2,000 yaba tablets from Prembazar area under Banskhali upazila of the district.
The arrested was identified as Nurul Alam, 35, of Baharchara village under Taqnaf upazila of Cox's Bazar.
On a tip-off, a team of the police raided at a Chittagong-bound local passengers' bus in the area at about 2 pm and nabbed Nurul with the contraband drugs, Banskhali Police Station OC Sapan Kumar Mazumdar told BSS.
A case has been filed in this connection.
