Dental college, Medical admission tests Sept 18

The admission tests for medical and dental colleges for the academic session 2015-2016 will be held on September 18. An official of the Ministry of Health familiar with the process said that the MBBS and BDS first-year admission tests for 2015-2016 have been fixed by the ministry at a meeting in Dhaka on Tuesday. Besides, he said, another meeting headed by Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim will be held next month. Detailed schedule of the admission tests will be published soon, he said. A 1-hour 100 marks MCQ question and CGPA of HSC and SSC exams will be taken into count for both MBBS and BDS Admission Test 2015, where the pass marks will be 40. Students would have to pay Tk650 to apply for admission tests. There are 29 public medical colleges having 3,162 seats for MBBS course while 64 private medical colleges have 5,325 seats in total. Besides, nine public dental colleges having 532 seats for BDS course and 24 private dental colleges have 1,280 seats, according to BSS.
