Housewife killed by 'husband' in Nawabganj

A housewife was allegedly killed by her husband in Nawabganj upazila of Dhaka district. The deceased was identified as Shahnaj Begum, 30, wife of Mohammad Shahin, hailing from Balihari village of Swarupkhali upazila in Pirojpur district. The couple used to live in a rented out house of Kader Mollah at Komorganj village in Nawabganj. Police suspected that Shahin hit Shahnaj in the head with a hammer over a family feud, leaving her dead. On information, police recovered the body and also seized the hammer from the spot. The body bore injury mark on its head. Shahin went into hiding after the incident. Tajuddin Ahmed, sub-inspector of Nawabganj Police Station, confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
