ACC to sue 2 Brac Bank officials

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) is set to file a case against two officials of BRAC Bank for allegedly embezzling about Tk3 lakh.

The Commission at its regular meeting on Monday approved a proposal to sue them, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.

The case will be filed against officer of BRAC Bank’s Gulshan Avenue branch Saiful Islam Khadem and former sales executive of the same branch SM Shahin.

According to the ACC probe, all the accused in collusion with each other issued a credit card against an unknown person preparing fake documents and swindling out Tk3 lakh from the bank.

Besides, the ACC at Monday’s meeting decided to file a case against Ocean Group managing director Khadaker Ali Azam for allegedly amassing illegal wealth.
