After Tulip Siddiqui, Bangladeshi-origin parliament member Rupa Huq has been named home affairs minister in the shadow cabinet of UK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Rupa Huq, hailing from Pabna, has been inducted into the Labour Party shadow cabinet on Thursday.
Rupa is a senior lecturer at the sociology department of the Kingston University.
She was elected from Ealing Central and Acton constituency by bagging
22,002 votes. With her victory, the Labour Party regained the Ealing
Central and Acton constituency.
